THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE

In this production we sought to bring the audience directly into the society grappling with the aftermath of a near-apocalyptic war. It was set in the Pacific Northwest in the not-so-distant future. The base costumes for this world were a blend of modern utilitarian street wear, military clothing, and a few vintage pieces. Specialty costumes were made from a "fabric" I created by fusing together cut pieces of plastic shopping and garbage bags. Multiples were made for costumes that endured lots of wear and tear. In addition, found objects, painting, and physical distressing were all used to create textures and visual interest.
