Spoon busk corset
Created from an 1870s English pattern, this corset was constructed with 2 layers of coutil and silk shantung fashion fabric.
Fashion corset
Inspired by mid-XIXth century style, this corset was constructed with a single layer of coutil, fuchsia silk crepe, and black lace overlay.
Chinese hat
This hat was patterned from period research, constructed on a felt base, and painted to look worn-in.
COSTUME CONSTRUCTION AND CRAFTS
I am a very hands-on designer, and most shows I designed also feature my patterning and construction skills. These photos are of a few specific garments that, I feel, showcase my skill and attention to detail as a costume artisan.
